Episode 10. Sarah on family business

Are you one of the many people who left their home town seeking greener pastures, fame or fortune only to feel that pull back when the time came to raise your own family? I am and so is Sarah Rowan, my guest in this episode.

Sarah lives in rural New South Wales and, alongside her brother, took over the reins of the family business - Harden Bearings and Hardware. She also runs a second business with her husband and, over generations, her family has become an important part of the business community in Harden.

Sarah’s passion for her small town is palpable. Her connection to her family is lovely and the sense that the town itself is one big family shines through. It makes me want to jump in a car and go buy some hardware from them…
